About SoftGym

SoftGym makes fitness gear for the living room, and has since 2022: things you can stand on, pull or press for ten minutes and then slide under the sofa.

What SoftGym makes

Our best-known piece is the SoftGym Vibration Plate. It is a low deck about 21 by 13 inches with a motor inside, rated for users up to 450 lb, with 120 speeds, five automatic programs, a timer that runs from 1 to 15 minutes and a remote, so you never bend down to change a setting. It comes in ten colors and, depending on the color, with handle bands, loop bands or both.

Next to it sit two smaller things. The Twister Arm is a hydraulic chest and arm trainer with a dial of 30 levels, for the upper-body half of a session. The bands and remote kit holds five loop bands, a handle set, two remotes and a cord, for the day a remote goes missing.

Why ten colors

A plate lives in plain sight. It sits next to the sofa or under the TV, and you see it every day. So we make it in black, white, gray, pink and blue, and we print on each product page what differs between them: the pattern of the footpad, the bands in the box, and the Bluetooth speaker that only the Midnight plate has.

Who it is for

Adults who want a low-impact way to stand, squat or hold a plank on a moving deck at home, and who will keep walking and doing strength work alongside it. The plate is not for children, and some people should ask a doctor first: if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or another implant, a recent surgery or fracture, a history of blood clots, epilepsy, a heart condition or high blood pressure.

It is not a medical device and it does not treat anything. We say that plainly because plates are often sold with promises about fat, toxins and lymph that the research does not back, and our guides go through what it does say.

How we keep these pages

Every spec here comes from our own product data, and what each color includes was checked against the photo of its box. Prices come from our scheduled catalog update. When we explain whole-body vibration, the lymphatic system or how much activity adults need, the guides name the medical centers, agencies and reviews we read, with the date we read them.
